First-timers Shatha Hassoun and Fayez Al Saeed take to the small screen

Putting their vocal abilities to good use, Iraqi and UAE pop stars get together for their first TV drama.

Despite only ever using their vocal chords for concerts in the past, Iraqi star, Shatha Hassoun [2] and UAE songster, Fayez Al Saeed [3] are getting their first taste of acting with a drama set for the small screen.

Shatha, known as the First Lady of Iraqi pop, has told fans recently that a singing career is just not enough of a challenge anymore and has set her sights on the world of acting for total fame domination [4].

She is set to star alongside Fayez in Khaliji TV drama, 'Ma Malikan Qalbi' (Owner of my Heart). The duo will be acting out a love affair between a radio host who helps solves all his listeners' problems but can't figure out his own and his sweetheart, played by Shatha.
