Lebanese singer Wael Jassar has returned to the scene after a three-year absence with a new romantic album titled “Kul Daqeeqah Shakhsieh”(Every minute a different personality). The album features 14 songs, mostly sung in the Egyptian dialect.
Wael said that releasing the album at such a critical time, when conditions around the Arab world are unstable due to revolutions taking place in numerous Middle Eastern countries, is a “big risk that must be taken.”
He had postponed the release of the album numerous times.
“People need music in their lives to help them through the difficult times,” said Wael.
According to the internet website, Wael said that artists need to release albums in such times to avoid having the music industry suffer further losses, and to improve people’s state of mind.
Wael said that the album only features two songs in the Lebanese dialect, and promised his upcoming albums will feature more songs of the like. However, he prefers not to classify songs by their dialect, he said.
