In another evening of X Factor Arabia , six contestants competed for the title with a song from their personal idol and a second song of their choice. Before the performances began, the competitors had a chance to ask the judges a few questions.
Carole wasn’t shy about sharing the misunderstandings she and the other judges have had when asked by one of the contestants. They’ve certainly had a few differences of opinion over the course of the show’s history.
There was a mixture of Arab and American idols used by the contestants. Young Pharoz let out an Adele hit and Salwa Al Anouf used Rihanna (who –get excited-will soon be coming to the region !), while Adham Al Nabulsi sang a Waelf Kfouri song, and Ibrahim Abdul Athem lit up the stage a Mohammad Abdo tune.
In the following elimination episode, all six singers sang “Dugi ya Rababa”. Competition became even tighter when the two least voted for out of the six was announced. Believe it or not, Young Pharoz from Carole Samaha’s team made it to the bottom alongside Salwa Alanouf from Elissa’s team.
In a last chance effort to stay in the ring, the bottom two sang their hearts out in front of the judges’ table in hopes of survival. When the judges’ votes were revealed, Salwa Alanouf was the one left saying farewell, while Young Pharoz breathed a sigh of relief to remain in the fabulous five that get another chance at the title next week. Was it proper that Salwa Alanouf said farewell?
