Egypt says Naomi Campbell is not going to hold her wedding in Luxor

The authorities added that the pharaonic ruins are places that have a cultural and civilized presence.
Launched in the Governorate of Aqaba, the “16 Days of Action” campaign is an international event to combat violence against women. Organized by the Jordanian National Commission for Women's Affairs and UNICEF, “16 Days of
Action” runs from 25th November (International Day against Violence against Women) to 10th December (International Human rights Day).
The campaign aims to highlight the prevalence of violence against women, raise awareness of the issue at local, national and international levels, and work towards the elimination of all forms of violence against women in Jordan.
The Jordanian National Commission for Women's Affairs confirmed that it is working to monitor cases of abuse against women by providing a national support network in cases of violence.
It added that official studies confirm that rates of violence against women in the Kingdom range between their highest levels in the northern parts of Jordan, where 42% of women are abused, to the lowest 27% in the middle regions, including the capital Amman.
