H.E Mohamed Omar Abdullah, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development (DED) Abu Dhabi, opened Signage, Imaging and Media (SIM) 2010 today. The three day event is the most comprehensive trade show for the regional marketing communications industry.
His Excellency toured the exhibition, which features over 100 exhibitors from 20 countries and was given demonstrations of some of the latest technological advances in digital signage, printing and new media.
SIM comprises an exhibition covering three vertical events, (digital signage, digital printing and new media) and five one-day conferences with a photography competition. The focus sectors include printing; signage; banners and posters; pre-press; digital imaging, capture, storage and processing; electronic media; advertising production; new media and entertainment.
The five dedicated forums and seminars will specifically address the latest developments in digital printing, digital signage, outdoor advertising and social media. New this year at SIM will be a photography competition which aims to acknowledge local and regional photographers for their role in raising the quality of creative advertising and collateral material.
