Egyptian director Amro Salama and Tunisian actress Hind Sabri have completed filming seven different short films that are political and aim at educating people in the Arab world about different political terms that have become widely used.
According to the internet website MBC.net, each film lasts for a period of five minutes and explains general political terms in a simple manner. Hind wants to create awareness among people to the different political terms used by politicians.
Amro, who was one of the many people that were assaulted by police forces during the breakout of Egypt’s January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of Husni Mubarak, said that he and Hind, who has a master’s degree in political science, want to give the films to any satellite channel that is willing to air them as a gift. The films will also be widely spread over the internet.
The first film will explain the meaning of constitution in simpler terms. Hind felt that this term is used widely but many people do not know the exact meaning it entails and what it means to them.
