Egyptian actor Mohammad Rajab has begun reading the script for the new film “Iqalat Shaeb” (Dismissal by the people), which tackles the life of Egyptian martyr Khaled Saed. The film is written by Sameer Mabrouk and filming is scheduled to begin immediately after Mohammad gives his official and final acceptance to the role.
Sameer had at first gotten an approval from the family of Khaled Saed to write the story of the film and one of the major production companies expressed their eagerness to produce the film.
Until this moment the remaining cast has not yet been chosen. Scenes are to be filmed between Alexandria and Cairo and will focus on the victims of the martial law that took place in Egypt during the January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak and was behind the killing of Khaled Saed.
