Egyptian actress Ola Ghanem revealed that she is very happy about the success of the Egyptian people’s revolution against the former government of President Husni Mubarak that was able reveal the corrupt people, whom she did not know of before.
Ola said that the revolution uncovered so much corruption that was taking place in Egypt. She added she was shocked to learn that Egyptian prominent actress Nadia Lutfi’s salary was only 380 Egyptian pounds a month and actress Mariam Fakher Al Din received 350. Ola said that she did not think such low wages still existed in Egypt.
The actress said that she hopes in the coming period Egypt would begin seeing better days and people who are poverty stricken would live in better conditions.
Before the mass protests of the revolution ended, Ola had requested of protesters to return to their homes in order for life to return to normal. She also thought of leaving the country until matters were more stable.
