United boss Sir Alex Ferguson [5] is hoping to seal a 22 million pounds move before the weekend's Premier League [6] opener, The Sun reports.
United and Italian giants Juventus have yet to improve offers of 15 million pounds, but Van Persie was jeered by his own fans in Sunday's win over Cologne in Germany, and is now desperate for a move to be completed.
