The total volume of spending on advertising in newspapers, television, radio and road signs in Jordan, by the end of the first half of this year, reached about 97 million dinars (136.428.000 million dollars). Newspaper advertisements made up 80% of advertisement spending, amounting to 6.77 million dinars ($109.142.000 million dollars).
According to Ipsos, Jordanian citizens receive their news information from multiple sources, especially television, at 82 percent, followed by radio at 7.1 percent, internet at 6.9 percent, and daily newspapers at 3 percent. Weekly and monthly magazines ranked last.
According to indicators, television is the most trusted and most reliable media resource for the Jordanian citizen, at 74 percent followed by internet at 8.10 percent. The daily newspapers and radio maintained the same position and at 6.7 percent and 3 percent respectively. Oral news, books, weekly newspapers, mobile phones and the monthly newspapers are considered the media that the Jordanian citizen trusts to provide local or international information.
