The Lebanese military intelligence directorate detained a senior engineer in the cellular Alpha company on suspicion of working with the Israeli intelligence. His detention came three weeks after the arrest of another employee in the same company and with the same charge. A Lebanese newspaper on Thursday quoted informed sources as saying that the suspect Tareq Rabaa was born in Beirut in 1970. He has been working in the company since 1996 and he is responsible for the mode of transmission.
The sources pointed out that new suspect is "more dangerous" than the first one - Charbel Qazzi. Lebanon's Defense Minister Elias Murr notified Cabinet of Rabaa's arrest. Accoording to Naharnet, the minister told Cabinet that Rabaa was not arrested as a result of Qazzi's confessions, but due to a phone voice call interception.
It is reported that Lebanon's military intelligence agents are still looking for more suspects in the company.
