A report by the Central Bank of Lebanon indicated that its foreign exchange assets rose US$2.307 billion in 2010. The report pointed out that these assets have risen from US$28.296 billion at the end of 2009 to US$30.603 billion at the end of 2010.
The Central Bank of Lebanon's foreign exchange assets amounted to US$31.510 billion at the end of September 2010, but they fell following the interference by the Bank as the demand for the dollar went up.
The foreign exchange assets of the Lebanese Central Bank dropped from US$30.852 billion in mid-December to US$30.603 at the end of the month.
Meanwhile, the total assets of the Bank during 2009 rose by US$8.564 billion.
