Israeli forces killed a Palestinian Friday during a raid in the West Bank, witnesses and security officials said. The incident took place early Friday morning as occupation forces raided several houses in the city of Hebron, Palestinian security officials conveyed.
The Israeli soldiers detained six Hamas members the Palestinian Authority had freed from jail the day before, said the officials, according to AFP.
Palestinian security officials identified the victims as Omar Kawasme, 67.
Palestinian Authority president Mahmud Abbas on Thursday ordered the release of the six Hamas prisoners who had been on hunger strike. They were being held on unspecified "security grounds."
