On Friday 11th of December 2009, the FM radio station “Sunny (105.1)” held an art exhibition. The event took place on the third floor of “Zara Expo- Amman” and continued until Saturday the 19th of December 2009. Many of different ages showed great interest in the exhibition.Amongst those who portrayed their work in the exhibition are: “Nabad Gallery”, “Jordan National Museum”, “Jacaranda Images”, ”Gallery 14”, “The Gallery”, “Foresight 32 Gallery”, “Dar Al- Anda”, “Cairo Amman Bank Gallery” and “Zara Gallery”. Such an exhibition is considered to be one of the largest and most important in Amman-Jordan; as it accommodates vast numbers of artists- those of Jordanian origins and others who are not. “Sunny Art Fair” is considered to be an opportunity for the Jordanian artistic society, where experiences can be shared and others gained between the artists at the exhibition. In addition, the presence of unique artists of diverse interests enables viewers to gain different perspectives of the art work portrayed. “Zafer Younis” (The General Manager of Sunny FM) stated that as being part of the private industry sector, he sees a necessity in increasing the cultural awareness and sensitivity amongst Jordanian individuals; hence the organization of such an event. Furthermore, “Sara Abu Alia” (The head of art in the exhibition) stated that the vast number of turnout at the event indicates the importance of culture to the society. Sunny FM shows great dedication into turning this distinctive event into an annual one. It is inevitable that the aid of sponsors contributed to the success of “Sunny Art Fair”. These include: “Kulkom- Jordan”, “Cairo Arab Bank”, “Midas”, “ASDA'A Burson-Marsteller”, “Behind the Scenes”, “Zoumot” and “ATICO”. Additionally, media partner were “Anty”, “Home”, “Living Well” and “Jormall”.
