Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Saturday that the threats and conspiracies of Iran's enemies can hardly prevent the development and progress of the Iranian nation.
The statement was part of the last speech delivered by the chief executive at a gathering of people in the town of Bardsir during his 28th provincial visit to the southeastern province of Kerman.
According to IRNA, the president said that the Iranians are standing up to materialize their ideals and will not give up even an iota of their inalienable right to access nuclear energy.
Pointing to success made by Iranian scientists in various fields of science and technology and peaceful nuclear energy in particular, the president said, "Certain powerful states who possess nuclear technology do not let Iran achieve such a valuable technology.
"They are worried Iran will become as a model for other nations, if it acquires nuclear technology."
