Violent confrontations have broken out in the occupied Golan Heights when dozens of residents of the town of Majdal Shams clashed with the Israeli forces Tuesday, while a general strike was declared in solidarity with the Palestinians, according to eyewitnesses.
In a telephone call to Albawaba.com. Hamed Halabi, a key figure in the area said that scores of demonstrators attacked an Israeli military post in the early morning, but there were no injuries.
He added that the strike and the confrontations are “a continuation of solidarity between the Arabs in the Golan and Palestine.”
