The Abdullah Azzam Brigades, a Lebanese Sunni jihadist group affiliated to militant group Al Qaeda, has claimed responsibility for a twin suicide bomb attack in Beirut on Tuesday morning that targeted the Iranian embassy .
The claim of responsibility for the bombing was made by the Abdullah Azzam Brigades' leader, Sheikh Siraj al-Din Zureiqat , in the name of Saraya al-Hussein bin Ali, according to a BBC report.
The leader warned that attacks would continue in Lebanon until Iranian forces left Syria and prisoners were released in Lebanon, the BBC added.
