Hassan Mohammed Makki, Director of the Waste Management Department, Dubai Municipality, said, “We appreciate Dulsco’s contribution to this initiative, which demonstrates the company’s sense of responsibility towards the community. I think such activities will help us at Dubai Municipality to do our job better and project Dubai as a place of sustainable development.”“Corporate Social Responsibility is so much of our part of doing business that we look for opportunities to work towards it. At this time, we felt that we could release some of our workers to help Dubai Municipality in the clean-up initiatives and we proactively went to the Authorities to make this happen! We believe that we owe responsibility to the environment we live, breathe and draw our resources from. As a local company this is our contribution to Dubai and its campaign for a greener world! It is our way of integrating economic, social, and environmental imperatives with our business activities. Our involvement in this drive has been going on for years and we have committed to provide 50-100 volunteers every Saturday to Dubai Municipality throughout 2009 for clean-up activities across the emirate,” said Balakumar, Director of Dulsco HR Solutions.Further, 200 Dulsco employees volunteered in cleaning up areas of the Green Community and Dubai Investment Park as part of the ‘Clean-Up UAE’ campaign organised by Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) in December.
