Egyptian radio station ‘Sawt El Arab’ is scheduled to commemorate the late Syrian songstress Fayza Ahmad, reported ‘Al Jumhuria’ newspaper.
The show ‘Mawed Mael Alhan’ is scheduled to air on Thursday and will be hosted by Ahmad’s husband Mohammad Sultan.
Sultan is expected to talk extensively about his 20-year professional relationship with Ahmad.
Meanwhile, according to ‘Al Jumhuria,’ the show will also host singer Ahmad Al Sanbati whose father had started composing Fayez’s last song before he died. Ahmad took over the job from his father and completed the song, La Barouh Qalbi Ana (I Won’t Go My Heart).
The show will also air a pre-recorded interview with Baleegh Hamdi.
Hamdi talks about his discovery of the late Fayza in Syria and the songs he composed for her in Egypt and Damascus.
Another prerecorded session with the renowned composer/singer Abdul Wahab Mohammad will air on the show.
In his spot, the composer talks about his collaboration with the songstress.
Furthermore, not forgetting why her fans loved her, the show will air an array of Fayza’s most famous songs including: Khaleena Ninsa (Let Us Forget), Khaleekou Shahdeen (Stay Witnesses) and Sit El Habayeb (Lovely Lady) – Albawaba.com.
