eHosting DataFort, the region's leading Managed IT and Advisory Services Provider and a member of TECOM Investments, today announced its CEO Yasser Zeineldin will participate at the Executive Leadership Roundtable during the second Data Centre Strategies Middle East 2010 in Abu Dhabi.
To be held on 25-26 May, the forum will discuss the changing landscape of the data centre industry in the region. Investment and growth development strategies, ways to manage the changing data centre business landscape, the emergence of the Cloud and its impact, competition in the green data centre business, regional and international competition as well as an outlook of a data centre's return-on-investment are among the other issues that will be taken up for discussion at the event.
Moderated by Ghazi Atallah, Managing Director, neXgen Advisory Group, an industry veteran, the Executive Leadership Roundtable is set to draw a well represented panel of industry experts including Jamal Al-Nahdi, Director, Qatar Data Centre; Basel Dalloul, Chairman and CEO, Noor Group; Anthony Foy, Group Managing Director, Interxion; Bryce Nelson, CTO, Kulacom Communications SPC, and Steve O'Donnell, CEO, Meeza.
Yasser Zeineldin, CEO, eHosting DataFort, said: "Opportunities in the data centre industry are vast particularly in the GCC. As organizations ranging from multinationals and medium to smaller enterprises readjust their business models from a CAPEX (capital) to OPEX (operational) structure, they enjoy the benefits of a pay-as-you-go model, while minimising risks associated with investing precious available CAPEX in IT projects, which can rather be used for other internal projects.
"Organizations that are able to adapt themselves in a changing environment are likely to succeed - even in the most economically stringent of times. I look forward to the forum as it provides a platform to establish potential partnerships to further enhance eHDF's services to its customers."
As key sponsor of the event, eHosting DataFort's presence will attract a large number of leading organizations from both the government and private sectors across the IT lifecycle including data centre operators, service providers, telcos, network infrastructure providers and more.
The forum will also host for the first time the Data Centre Strategies Middle East Awards recognizing remarkable achievements among service providers and individuals in the region's IT service industry. The awards will honour the Best New Entrant in Middle East Data Centre; Best Co-location Middle East Facility; Best Data Centre Middle East Region; Best Middle East Green Initiative; Best New Cloud Services Middle East Region; Best Sustainable Data Centre Design Middle East Region; Best Managed Services Provider Middle East Region; Best Disaster Recovery Provider Middle East 2010 and Middle East CTO Award for Innovation in Data Centres.
A Judges Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Centre Sector (CEO Award) and a Special Award for Innovation and Education in the Data Centre Sector Middle East 2010 will also be given away at the ceremony.
Philip Low, Managing Director, BroadGroup, said: "eHosting DataFort's established presence in the region is sure to interest delegates at the forum from both the government and industry sectors.
"The team's expertise in data centre solutions among their portfolio of managed services along with their embedded understanding of the business dynamics in the Middle East will bring valuable insight to the Leadership Roundtable discussion. We are delighted to have eHDF on board and look forward to making the forum a great success."
The second Data Centre Strategies Middle East 2010 will attract an academy of international speakers, experts and delegates from enterprise user companies, operators and owners, technical specialists, investors, vendors and consultancies. The event will also address vital questions about the latest issues and developments in the sector that impact the operation and planning of data centre businesses.
