Esperance of Tunisia, former holders of African Champions League title, is in deep crisis following the 0 – 2 defeat against Al-Hilal of Sudan earlier this week. The club management announced on Tuesday that it was decided to terminate the contract with the Swiss coach Claude Andrey. A spokesman for Esperance, Amer al Bahri, refused to elaborate if the Tunisian club agreed to compensate sacked coach.
At the beginning of the season, Andrey signed a year-long deal. The 54-year-old previously coached FC Sion and FC Basel in Switzerland and in Greece and Africa.
