The Chef’s Table at Cristal takes intimate dining to new heights
Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, is bringing a brand new concept to Riyadh, delighting residents and visitors alike and reinforcing the city’s leading luxury hotel as the ultimate dining destination.
The Chef’s Table at Cristal, the hotel’s classic French cuisine restaurant, has quickly become one of the most popular culinary concepts for Riyadh diners. Competition to attend the Chef’s Table is fierce, with only ten diners at each event, chosen on a first come, first served basis.
Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, has long been Riyadh’s preeminent dining destination, featuring brunch at La Brasserie, barbeque at Brazilian steakhouse Il Terrazzo, and the unparalleled, iconic restaurant The Globe. Now, the hotel is moving to new culinary territory, with Chef Andre personally conducting guests through an exclusive experience at Cristal to be part of the best in fine dining.
“Our new Chef’s Table experience at Cristal is unlike any other culinary experience in Riyadh, and it’s an amazing opportunity for all fine dining enthusiasts,” said Jochen Schmid, Hotel Manager of Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel.
“The limited numbers ensure that each guest feels personally attended to by Chef Andre as he takes them on a tour of the menu, from the first stage of basic preparation to the final presentation of accomplished French cuisine.”
“The hotel’s entire culinary team is eager to further our prominent position in the Saudi Arabian dining scene, and the first step is this new concept. Our innovations and ideas should be as fresh as our ingredients, and we pay close attention to the discerning palates and tastes of Riyadh’s diners,” commented Schmid.
The Chef’s Table experience begins with a personal welcome from Al Faisaliah Hotel’s Managing Director and Hotel Manager. Escorted to the Cristal kitchen, guests are offered welcome cocktails and greeted by Chef Andre, who introduces the evening’s special menu and provides a detailed explanation of ingredients and preparation methods.
Moving from the kitchen to the dining room, Chef Andre’s magic begins with a masterpiece in every dish. Fresh fish and choice cuts of beef are paired with foie gras, truffles, and the best in-season produce. The meal comes together in an outstanding interpretation of classic French cooking.
After the dessert has been served, Chef Andre joins his guests for a gastronomic question and answer session over coffee and tea. He then presents each guest with a special recipe folder with cooking instructions so they can recreate the dishes at home.
The Chef’s Table at Cristal is a bi-monthly event limited to 10 diners. Selection is on first come, first served basis, however, special arrangements can be made for groups.
