The disease symptoms are mild at the onset and include headache and fever which misleads the patients into thinking that they are only suffering from a common cold.
The British scientist added that within seven weeks, symptoms become more serious and include vomiting, eye movement confusion, depression, loss of consciousness, stomachache, walking imbalance, lack of desire to talk, hair falling and hearing impairment. These symptoms may continue for three months or more and affect the immunity system of the patient making it unable to resist some infectious organisms.
