According to JANA, the Assistant Secretary of the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Co-operation met Wednesday morning in Tripoli with the Adviser of the French Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Natali Dolla Balm and the Director of the Africa Department at the ministry, Bruno Jupier, in the presence of the French ambassador to the Great Jamahiriya.
Bilateral relations between both countries and the way and means to support and develop them were discussed in the meeting. The two French officials confirmed their country's commitment to what had been expressed by the visit of the French President Jacque Chirac , to the Great Jamahiriya and his meeting with the Leader of the Revolution and the desire to implement what has been embodied by that visit.
The meeting also discussed the outcomes of the 5th ordinary session of the African Union Summit which the French side praised its positive aspects at both participation and resolution levels.
Director of Africa Department at the French Foreign Ministry hailed Great Jamahiriya's role as well as efforts of the Leader to settle the conflicts in Africa and foremost Darfur problem. France shares the concern of Great Jamahiriya not to opened the door to outside intervention in the internal affairs of the continent and it is with the opinion that supports the political, practical, field and military efforts of the African Union in Darfur, French official said.
