At least 15 rockets were fired during the night from Gaza Strip into southern Israel causing no injuries or damage, said Monday morning a spokeswoman for the Israeli army. On Sunday, several rockets were shot into Israel especially towards the city of Beersheba, following an Israeli airstrike that had killed a member of the armed wing of the Hamas which is controlling Gaza .
Israeli warplanes launched two raids Sunday night in the Gaza Strip, causing no casualties. One house was destroyed by one of these attacks, said Palestinian sources.
A spokesman for the Israeli military confirmed both raids, saying they were aimed at "rocket launch sites and terrorist activities." He said that 150 rockets were fired into Israel since early October, and 615 since the beginning of the year.
A fragile cease-fire came into force Wednesday at midnight (2200 GMT), through Egyptian mediation to end a cycle of violence that has killed eight Palestinian fighters and made three serious injuries in Israel in 72 hours.
