A Hamad Medical Corporation delegation from the Infection Control Department has traveled to United Kingdom to participate in the 7th International Conference of the Hospital Infection Society. The conference will take place from 10th – 13th October.
The delegation includes Dr. Mamoun Al Sheikh, Assistant Executive Director of the Infection Control Program, and Dr. Jammelah Al-Khuwair, Vice Chairman of the HMC Infection Control Committee. In this global conference, HMC will deliver scientific and a poster presentations, along with many other international medical professionals. The conference, which is held annually in the city of Liverpool aims to discuss the latest scientific findings regarding controlling diseases that are transmitted by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. In the context of this conference, several scientific papers will be discussed, the most prominent of which are nosocomial infections, tuberculosis, bacterial resistance to antibiotics, medical education in infection control, and virology updates regarding infection control.
