Israel's US-made Apache attack helicopters on Monday blew up a Palestinian intelligence headquarters in Dura, at the western entrance of Hebron, Palestinian security sources said.
Witnesses told the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, that the helicopters fired missiles at the post, destroying a major part of the building.
No injuries were reported immediately after the attack.
Questioned by AFP, the Israeli army refused to comment on the strike.
Earlier, Israeli troops fired machineguns at a residential area in the West Bank town of Silet El Dhaher, wounding a number of Palestinians, said the agency.
A witness told the agency that a number of the occupation troops had been deployed in the area since the early hours of Monday.
AFP's latest death tally for the Palestinian uprising against 34 years of Israeli military occupation comes out to 13 Arab Israelis, over 578 Palestinians, and around 155 Israelis, putting the ratio of casualties at around four Palestinians killed for every Israeli loss.
Israel’s wounded number in the high hundreds, according to army sources, while the Palestine Red Crescent Society puts the number of Palestinians injured at over 15,000.
Amnesty International reported early this year that almost 100 Palestinian children had been killed by Israeli soldiers, nearly all in situations where the occupation troops were under no immediate threat.
