Following his comments at the World Economic Forum in Davos [2], Jordan's King Abdullah told Al-Rai newspaper on Wednesday that he believes Syrian President Assad [3] will run out of money in six months time. The Jordanian monarch told his Davos audience last Friday [4] that he thought the Syrian regime would fall in six months time or less. On Wednesday he clarified these comments to the Jordanian newspaper, saying he was not specifying a date but thought Assad's government would be unable to fund their war effort by that time. The Syrian war of 22-months has claimed the lives of over 60,000 people, many of them civilians. The violence began after Assad's regime soldiers attacked peaceful protestors [5].
