Michel Diab, Business, Marketing & Operations Director for Microsoft North Africa, Eastern Mediterranean and Pakistan (NEPA), stated, "Microsoft Open Door is gearing up to be the most anticipated technical event of the year that aims to introduce Jordan's IT professionals and experts to the latest Microsoft technologies, providing them with the unique opportunity to remain up to par with the ever changing needs of the fastest growing industry in the world."
Diab added, "One of the main areas that Microsoft and its partners will be covering at this year's Open Door event is the importance and benefits of Cloud Computing for IT professionals and developers, and how it brings together Internet, data center, mobile and PC computing all into one to transform the way individuals and businesses use technology."
The interactive and technology-rich event consists of presentations from top technology experts from Microsoft Corporation and the region, as well as recognized local industry experts who will be presenting various sessions on a wide range of topics throughout the two day event. The sessions are divided into three tracks for IT professionals, Developers and Technical Managers with a focus on Cloud Computing strategies in addition to live demonstrations of the latest products and IT solutions for businesses and consumers.
The Microsoft Jordan Open Door Event will also provide Microsoft's partners in Jordan with an opportunity to showcase their most advanced innovations and business solutions with the event being sponsored by leading companies in the Kingdom including Nokia as Platinum Sponsor, and MentaITech, United Technology Solutions, HCL, Sermon Business Solutions and Estarta as Gold Sponsors.
"Participating with Microsoft Jordan in the event emphasizes our joint vision on communication and mobility, delivering solutions that allow people to access information anytime and anywhere across many devices." said Haisam Jamal, General Manager for Nokia Levant. "The world is becoming more mobile, communication is not what it used to be, people need to connect while on the move whether they are traveling, at home and on the beach. In the age of E-commerce, Email, growing internet usage and social networking, it is crucial for an organization to get on board the mobile highway and in this event we are demonstrating to many customers how leading Microsoft Solutions operate seamlessly on Nokia phones giving optimal communication solutions".
The Open Door event will also be the first opportunity for attendees to experience the much talked about Kinect for Xbox 360, which will be available for all attendees to experience. Kinect enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, using a natural user interface instead that reacts according to a user's gestures, spoken commands, or presented objects and images.
Another much anticipated highlight of the Open Door event will be the live demonstration of the slick, streamlined and recently launched Windows Phone 7, which has been positively received by consumers throughout the world and is being recognized as the Windows mobile for the next generation.
