As the clock counts down to the opening of the 2nd Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010, Oman Air has partnered with the Muscat Asian Beach Games Organising Committee (MABGOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to bring sporting delegations to the Sultanate of Oman and promote the Games through its extensive network. As the official airline partner, Oman Air will fly athletes, officials, media and volunteers from 44 countries across 30 destinations to Muscat giving them the opportunity to experience the Airline's unparalleled service prior to taking part in the Games – a celebration of sport and culture from 8-16 December 2010.
Commenting on the occasion, Philippe Georgiou, Chief Officer Corporate Affairs and Official Spokesperson for Oman Air stated, "Oman Air will not only unite the athletic world but also contribute in bridging cultures and fostering friendships between participating nations. The strategic partnership with MABGOC reiterates our firm belief in promoting in-bound tourism to position the Sultanate as a unique destination for international events. With unprecedented exposure across an entire continent, the 2nd Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010 is a great catalyst to achieve such a goal. "
He added, "The traditional Omani values, the genuine hospitality of the people and the dynamic soul of the nation are all elements that embody the Airline. This cultural fusion will crystallise the Omani experience as the athletes and delegations first come onboard our rapidly expanding and new state-of-the-art fleet."
Georgiou went on to say that the synergy between MABGOC and the National Carrier of Oman is an example of what a unified vision can achieve.

In efforts to share the excitement of the highly anticipated Games, Oman Air will be branding a number of Airbus aircrafts with the Games logo, and will screen the Muscat 2010 promotion video on the In-flight Entertainment System, harnessing the genuine Games spirit and celebrating sportsmanship, unity and cooperation.
Under the slogan, 'Together We Shine', the 2nd Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010 is one of the major sporting events under the Olympic Council of Asia's umbrella. Taking place for 9 days this December at venues located in Muscat as well as at the one-million square meter Al-Musannah Sports City, the Games will welcome competition ranging in 14 different beach sports.
