The peace talk negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians are set to continue in Jerusalem on Tuesday , following a meeting held between the top negotiators on Saturday.
Following a meeting between chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat and his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni on Saturday night, sources told the Palestinian News Network (PNN) that the meeting was going ahead despite tension between the two sides following the death of three men in a West Bank refugee camp last week .
Israeli soliders stormed the camp at dawn and shot three men , resulting in widespread clashes throughout the West Bank and the Palestinian side threatening to call off the peace talks. Washington, who has orchestrated the revival of the peace talks, denied that they had been cancelled .
Palestinian sources close to the negotiations told Al-Watan Saudi newspaper in Ramallah that the peace talks are not progressing and the agenda of the talks has still not been finalised.
The source added that Israel is determined to discuss security issues first, whilst the Palestinians are seeking to cover all topics on the agenda, according to PNN.
