Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmud Abbas discussed Middle East peace efforts and the situation in the Palestinian territories with Saudi King Fahd in the red Sea port city of Jeddah Saturday.
Abbas also briefed the Saudi king on his visit to Washington in late July during which he held talks with US President Bush on means to advance the peace process, SPA news agency reported.
King Fahd and Abbas discussed "efforts underway to implement the roadmap," the agency said. Abbas also held talks in Jeddah Saturday with Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz.
The Palestinian Premier is expected to visit the United Arab Emirates on Sunday. (Albawaba.com)
