A ship carrying missiles from North Korea docked Saturday in a Yemeni port where it is expected to unload its cargo, a Yemeni official said.
"The ship has arrived, but the procedures are still underway to unload its cargo," the official told AP. The ship, the Singapore-registered Pan Hope, was intercepted in the Arabian Sea Monday by a Spanish warship and boarded by the U.S. Navy.
U.S. sailors allowed the ship to sail on after Washington received assurances from the Yemeni President that the Scud missiles would not be transferred elsewhere in the Gulf region.
The ship arrived in Yemen Friday, docking in another Arabian Sea port to refuel before heading to al-Hudaydah, a Red Sea port about 130 kilometer southwest of the capital, Sana'a. (Albawaba.com)
