Due to the global interest in SOFEX, the SOFEX 2012 team will be participating in numerous defence, counter terrorism and homeland security related industry events throughout the world, ensuring that the next edition of SOFEX will continue to build on and surpass the success achieved during previous editions.
Mr. Amer Tabbah, Managing Director of SOFEX stated, "The success of each edition of SOFEX provides us with an opportunity to further cement our reputation as one of the most important exhibitions and conferences on the defence industry calendar. Defensys 2010 is the first exhibition we have participated in since the successful conclusion of SOFEX 2010, and enables us to begin our initial process of networking and liaising with prospective exhibitors and delegates for SOFEX 2012."
Tabbah added, "Due to our exclusive focus on Special Operations Forces and Homeland Security, SOFEX 2010 achieved record breaking numbers, with 352 exhibitors displaying their latest state of the art equipment and technologies to an audience that consisted of 117 official delegations including high ranking defence officials, defence ministers, and government decision makers. Over the next 18 months we plan to build on that success by attracting even more participants and visitors to SOFEX 2012, which will play a vital role in enhancing security and stability throughout the region and beyond, in addition to providing a significant contribution to the Jordanian economy."
Defensys 2010, which took place in Greece's second largest city - Thessaloniki, unveiled the latest developments and propositions in defence and security technology. As a replacement of Defendory International, Defensys 2010 is building its reputation as a business platform for the international defence community with the aim to enhance cooperation among states, international organizations and industries, as well as to promote modern technological developments in the field of defence and security.
