For the very first time, the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) team is participating in this year’s Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition, the world’s largest land power forum that will take place from October 5-7 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Centre in Washington, D.C.
SOFEX’s participation in the Expo falls in line with the recent appointment of AUSA as the official organizer of the USA Pavilion and the SOFEX representative in the US for the 8th edition of the SOFEX series, which will be held in Amman, Jordan from May 10th-13th, 2010. AUSA is a private, non-profit organization that plays a key role in arranging and supporting the involvement of the U.S. defence manufacturers at major international exhibits throughout the world.
Amer Tabbah, Managing Director of SOFEX stated, “We are excited about taking part in the 2009 AUSA Annual Meeting and Expo for the first time, which will also be the first Jordanian participation at the show. We look forward to interacting and networking with the 500 industry and military exhibitors as well as the 30,000 attendees that are expected to be present at the Expo in order to explain the SOFEX vision and uniqueness.”
Mr. Tabbah went on to say, “We are proud to announce that AUSA has already confirmed that it will be significantly enhancing the US pavilion at SOFEX 2010, further demonstrating the value and importance acquired by SOFEX due to its exclusive focus on special operations forces and homeland security.”
The exhibiting nations expected at SOFEX 2010 will present the latest and most advanced special operations equipment and technologies from the world’s leading and most renowned defence manufacturers as well as from small and medium sized companies.
