SOFEX to Participate in Beirut Security Show
SMES will be held on April 20-22, 2009
As part of its preparations for SOFEX 2010, the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) regularly participates in major regional and international exhibitions and conferences, and this month, SOFEX will be exhibiting at the Security Middle East Show (SMES), a regional security exhibition and conference that is being launched for the very first time on April 20th-22nd, 2009, in Beirut, Lebanon.
SOFEX's participation at SMES aims at interacting and networking with prominent exhibitors and delegates from the region and around the world that have already expressed interest in their participation at the 8th edition of the SOFEX series that will take place in Amman, Jordan on May 10th-13th, 2010.
Mr. Amer Tabbah, Managing Director of SOFEX stated "Exhibitions are playing an increasingly important role in allowing us to network with world-renowned exhibitors and high-ranking delegates from across the globe."
He added, "Exhibiting at the Security Middle East Show will provide us with an opportunity to interact with prospective exhibitors and senior security officials and experts, promote the upcoming SOFEX edition that continues to develop and grow, and has acquired paramount ranking amongst the specialized global defence exhibitions as well as support regional Defence Exhibitions and Conferences."
SOFEX 2010 is expected to surpass the record number of 12,000 participants that attended SOFEX 2008, where 72 countries were represented-including 319 exhibiting companies, 34 international pavilions, 380 international delegates, and 101 international delegations headed by Ministers of Defence, Chiefs of Staff and Special Operations Commanders.
