Anmar Hmoud, Jordan’s spokesperson for Syrian refugee affairs, died in the late hours of Sunday, June 30.
Hmoud was killed overnight following a car accident late Sunday near the northern Badia / Rweished region, Ammon News reported. He was with three other passengers who survived the crash.
According to the publication, Hmoud was not driving the vehicle and was in the company of UN staff - one from Britain the other from Australia. The driver is said to be from Jordan.  Their conditon ranges from stable to critical, Ammon News reported.
Hmoud was named spokesperson for Syrian refugee camps affairs in Jordan in August of 2012 by former Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh. Prior to that he was Jordan’s ambassador to China. He also served as the Kingdom’s ambassador to Lebanon.
