Syrian opposition rebels seized a guard post on the Jordanian border Wednesday, according to AFP sources. The fighters are now in control of the Hajanah border post near Daraa,  adjacent to another customs post that was seized by rebels days earlier. Fierce clashes around the post have escalated over the past month. With the capture of the Hajanah border, rebels are now in control of border lands extending from Daraa to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.It is not yet clear how many people have been killed or wounded during the post seize.Clashes were also reported in Damascus near Husseiniyah and Al-Thiyabiyeh, south of the capital. The fighting took place near the Shiite holy site Sayyida Zeinab . At least six rebels and ten pro-regime fighters died in the violence. Hezbollah-backed fighters have been sent to the area to allegedly protect the site. In other parts of the Damascus province, pro-regime forces bombed the towns of Irbin and Yabrud according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Pro-regime forces also launched more air strikes in Idlib against rebels trying to seize control of two military bases.
