Syria's National Coalition will meet on August 3 and 5 in Istanbul, opposition sources told the AFP Thursday.
The opposition group will meet to discuss forming a provisional government, they said. Ahmad Jarba, the new head of the Coalition who is in Paris his week meeting President Francois Hollande, said this week he hoped a provisional government would be announced "within a month". Coalition Vice President Suheir Atassi, who is also in France at the moment, said the talks would "strengthen" the SNC'S position. The last rebel prime minister Ghassan Hitto resigned just several weeks ago after months of unsuccesful attempts to form a provisional government.
