Syrian President Bashar El Asad has asked the President of the Music Higher Learning Institute in Syria, Salhi Al Wadi, to make sure that Syria participates in the upcoming Iraqi Babylon Festival.
Meanwhile, sources told Albawaba that the Institute’s group will be arriving in Baghdad on the 26th of September. The group will participate in a variety of musical concerts, which features 120 musicians. The concert will cover classical pieces by Strauss, Mozart and more.
Furthermore, the group will be accompanied by Salhi Al Wadi, an Iraqi musician who resides in Syria.
However, another Iraqi who immigrated to Syria, a famous composer and musician for the Syrian Conservatory Orchestra, will not be attending – Albawaba.com.
