The United Arab Emirates pledged Thursday to send at least $25 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza as airstrikes from Israel continue, according to Agence France Presse.
UAE's state news agency WAM said that the Emirati Red Crescent will supervise the delivery of the aid and will also set up a field hospital in the Palestinian territory "to help the victims of the Israeli aggression." Dozens of Palestinians have been killed and hundreds wounded from over 500 Israeli airstrikes that have struck Gaza this week. Hamas has also launched retaliatory rockets on Israel, with some reaching as far as Jerusalem. No Israelis have died from the rockets.
