Capital Club, Bahrain’s premier private business club, in collaboration with American Express Middle East & North Africa, hosted H.E. Joseph Adam Ereli, U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain at the club’s Business Dinner Forum held on 26 October. At the event, Mr. Ereli delivered a keynote entitled “Stability and Prosperity in the Region - the Outlook for 2010” and shared with members his perspective on the challenges to economic growth and political development.
Addressing the session, Mr. Ereli said, “One of our challenges, as policymakers and leaders in business, is to look to the future, make the best possible assessment of the issues that may impact our societies, and decide how we can act collectively to address them.“ During his presentation, Ambassador Ereli highlighted several areas in which the Obama administration is working to bolster regional security. He also discussed several global challenges of growing importance in the coming decades.
Open only to members of the Capital Club, the Business Dinner forum attracted prominent members of the club and representatives of the business community. The Ambassador’s address was followed by an open discussion about the current events in the region, and on the new U.S. administration’s domestic and international policies.
