Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh, currently on a visit to Russia, received at his residency in Moscow on Tuesday Russian Defense Minister Serji Evanov, according to SABA news agency.
During the meeting, aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the military field were discussed.
President Saleh stressed the importance of strengthening Yemen-Russian cooperation in the field of military training and exchanging experts between the two armies, SABA added.
On his part, the Russian minister emphasized Moscow’s keenness to develop cooperation with Sana’a in various areas, the agency said.
The Russian official further stated that the visit of Yemen’s President Russia would open new and wide horizons in joint relations of cooperation between the two countries, it concluded. (Albawaba.com)
