Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh is to begin on Monday a foreign tour that is to take him to Russia, Lebanon and Syria, leading a high profile government and business delegation.
In the course of his visit to Moscow, President Saleh is to hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin and high-ranking Russian officials on means of strengthening bilateral relations, according to Yemen’s News Agency SABA.

An agreement on protecting investments is also expected to be signed during the visit.
On December 19, the Yemeni President and his accompanying delegation are to begin a visit to Lebanon for talks with President Emil Lahoud. Both leaders are set to primarily discuss the arrangements underway for the forthcoming Arab summit, which is to take place in Bahrain in March, SABA added.
