Jordan: Ministry of Interior gives 10,000 JD for each party that participated in former elections
Former minister of interior commanded to give each party that was involved in former elections in Jordan 10,000 JD. The money was given to 16 party that participated while those that did not participate (Islamic Brotherhood was among them) received nothing.
Resource in the MOI said this money comes to overcome the costs that parties spent to participate in elections.
India and Syria on Sunday launched a Joint Business Council to double the bilateral economic and trade volumes with the visit of President Pratibha Patil to Damascus saying that at current levels they were “far below potential”.
Speaking on the occasion, Syrian Minister for Economy and Trade, Lamia Mari Assi, called for “big involvement” by Indian companies in the infrastructure projects in Syria.
On Saturday, the two Presidents discussed cooperation in a range of fields from agriculture, health, oil, mineral resources, phosphates, electricity, transport, telecommunications, technology and higher education, while examining the possibility of “building a real strategic partnership in areas like: software, textiles, pharmaceuticals and food industry, using advanced Indian technology.”
