Four football fans in Brazil have been shot in a latest attack on supporters ahead of the 2014 World Cup , increasing fears over fan safety.
According to Metro.co.uk, the incident happened before a second division match in Natal, northeastern Brazil, on Saturday.
Police claimed two fans were hit in their feet and two in their legs during a clash between America and Ceara, the report said.
Two of the fans remained hospitalised, but their lives are not thought to be at risk, the report added.
It is understood that Ceara fans driving by the stadium fired at the America fans waiting outside, the report further said.
The teams' supporters also confronted each other inside the stadium and police had to intervene with pepper spray and tear gas, according to the report.
Around 20 people were arrested but the clashes will add to concerns over fan safety in next summer's tournament, the report mentioned. (ANI )
