Former England captain David Beckham is reportedly discussing the possibility of launching a surprise move to take over control of his former club Manchester United from the Glazer family with his former 'Class of 92' teammates.
Beckham has already signalled his intent to start up a franchise in the Major League Soccer (MLS) after pushing forward with plans to run a team out of Miami.
According to The Independent, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers, Gary and Phil, are believed to be involved in the talks and the septet will front a bid that would come with significant financial backing from the Middle East.
The report mentioned that there has been calls for Giggs, who is the only member of the six still in his playing days, to take temporary charge until the end of the season, with the Welshman already a part of the coaching staff at Old Trafford alongside Phil Neville and Butt.
The report further said that Scholes has also helped out this season with United's under-19 side, while Gary Neville has been working as a pundit for Sky Sports since 2011 while also holding a place on Roy Hodgson's England coaching staff. (ANI )
