Jamaica won the Olympic gold medal in the men's 400-meter relay Saturday with a world record time of 36.84.
The team of Nesta Carter [2], Michael Frater [3], Yohan Blake [4] and Usain Bolt [5] broke the world mark set by Jamaica at last year's world championships.
The United States equaled that old record of 37.04 while finishing second, but still finished two-tenths of a second behind the Jamaicans.
Trinidad & Tobago took the bronze medal after Canada was disqualified for passing the baton outside the zone.
Bolt finished his Olympics by sweeping the 100, 200 and 400-meter relay gold medals for the second straight Games.
