While many thought it was strange that Liverpool was interested in making a move for Atletico Madrid 's Diego Costa this summer, the Reds believed intention of signing the Brazilian looks much more like a great idea with his 30 goals across all competitions this season so far.
With Liverpool looking set in attack between Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge the Reds are less likely to re-ignite their chase for the Brazilian, but it appears that Chelsea remain the top linked club with the La Liga striker.
The Blues have much to sort out in their attack in the coming summer. Despite the potentcy of their offense, the combination of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o on paper looks like it should be destroying all that stand in their way.
However, Torres has only scored nine goals, Ba five and Eto'o eleven, but the three combined still fall well shy of what Costa has done on his own.
Chelsea may still win the English Premier League this season and even have an outside chance at winning the UEFA Champions League, but even if they do the one thing they need to buy this summer is a deadly front man that can be a game changer the way Didier Drogba once was.
According to TalkSPORT the Blues are still very keen on making a move for Costa and are certain to have more than enough cash to pay the €38 million buyout clause in the Brazilian's contract.
With Torres, Ba and Eto'o all potential summer exits from Stamford Bridge due to a lack of overall performance, there are many more scenario's that could be enough to see Atletico make a deal for Costa with the London club.
