Mourinho, who is set to quit Real Madrid this summer and make an emotional return to Chelsea following Real's exit from the Champions League, had regularly traded blows with the Scot when the Portuguese coach was at the Blues, the Daily Star reports.
However, Ferguson said that he is looking forward to the tussles with Mourinho and said that he would relish another Premier League battle with whichever side Mourinho chooses, although the odds are favouring Stamford Bridge.
According to Ferguson, going back to England and Chelsea is a big attraction for Mourinho, if his time in Real has really ended.
Praising Rafael Benitez for leading Chelsea to the Europa League final, Ferguson said that Benitez has done a good job at the club, adding that he has picked the right teams in the right games.
Ferguson further said that the Benitez's job has been made more easier probably by the fact that the fans, who used to taunt Benitez regularly, may have eased up on their pressure. (ANI )
